What Is Bolton EDGE™?
Designed to minimize the visibility of the donor scar.
Dr. Brett Bolton has perfected his suture technique with Bolton EDGE™, creating a very fine donor-area scar designed to be as discreet as possible.
The technique is designed to preserve the surrounding donor area while creating a scar that is extremely fine and difficult to detect once the hair grows back over it.
The goal of Bolton EDGE™ is to help patients restore their hair without having to worry about a prominent donor-area scar.
Bolton EDGE™ Advantages
Bolton EDGE™ is designed to protect the appearance of the donor area while supporting a greater amount of transplanted hair.
1 Safer on the Donor Area
When some procedures such as FUE are performed, the donor area can develop multiple small scars across the surface and beneath the skin. This can compromise the donor area for future procedures.
With Dr. Bolton's MaxHarvest™ technique and specialized suture procedure, the resulting scar is designed to be as fine as a paper's edge while preserving the surrounding donor area for potential future harvesting.
2 More Hair Than FUE
FUE typically yields a smaller number of hairs per procedure, while Dr. Bolton's MaxHarvest™ procedure yields anywhere from 12,000–16,000 hairs in a single session, typically completed in less than 5 hours.
The goal is to provide patients with more transplanted hair while minimizing the need for additional procedures.
What Doctors Don't Want You to Know
A proper suture technique can help prevent unsightly scarring so that the patient does not have to live with a large, noticeable donor-area scar.
With Bolton EDGE™, Dr. Bolton's goal is to create a donor-area scar that is as fine and discreet as possible, allowing the surrounding hair to help conceal the scar as it grows.

My experience at Great Hair Transplants was awesome. I was treated like family there. It couldn't have gone smoother. The price was quadruple in London and they don't give you as much as Dr. Brett Bolton. It feels great to have my hair back, I feel much more confident than before. I had really thin hair on top in which I wanted to correct. There was no pain during the surgery .The entire procedure only lasted about 4 hours and I chatted with the awesome nurses and watched movies. I would do it again if needed . Read Patient Experience →
I have bragged on his work to everyone I know. My hair has held up beautifully and I could not be more pleased. That inspired me to get a lot of other work done. I hardly look the same anymore! .I can't believe it's already been 9 years since the transplant. Seems like a year ago. Read Patient Experience →

Our Pricing Philosophy
Please understand that we do not charge by the graft. We believe that pricing hair transplantation this way can be misleading. For example, when a clinic quotes “1,000 grafts,” that number alone does not indicate how much hair you are actually receiving. A graft may contain one, two, or three hairs, and each situation represents a very different total amount of hair, even though the patient is charged the same based solely on the graft count. For this reason, we believe that graft-based pricing does not always reflect the true value or outcome of a procedure.
Instead, we have chosen what we believe is a fairer and more transparent approach: pricing based on the amount of donor tissue removed. Our planning is based on averages. The average adult male has approximately 200 hairs per square centimeter in the donor area, although individual hair density varies. Regardless of individual density, patients at the same pricing level receive approximately the same amount of donor tissue extracted. This provides consistency in the amount of tissue removed rather than relying on graft numbers that can vary significantly in hair content.
While it is not possible to guarantee an exact number of square centimeters removed, we make every effort to come as close as possible to the planned amount. When feasible, we aim to slightly exceed the planned amount rather than fall short.
